In my Home Recording Studio, my most favorite part of the recording process is experimentation and nothing allows more creativity than recording the guitar and the search for killer electric guitar tones or clear, expressive acoustic sounds. Finding sounds that fit perfectly into the mix, whether it’s an acoustic rhythm part or a soaring solo is a labor of love, and there’s an endless variety and combination of guitars, amplifiers, microphones and effects that will keep me awake when everyone else is fast asleep. By now, I’ve pretty much got my favorite guitar recording techniques, at least as a starting point, but that doesn’t stop me from experimenting, and it shouldn’t stop you either.

Homestudiozone.com has some great ideas you can use for you next guitar recording session….
